Autumn (or Fall as most people say nowadays) is my favourite time of year, well apart from Christmas of-course, but there is something about Fall time that I adore. I love the falling leaves, the warmer clothing and snuggling by the fire. My favourite thing about fall is the change in colours. I love the deeper, more rich tones that are associated with Autumn. Switching up my makeup is another thing I love about Fall. I love to wear deeper colours on my eyes as well as my lips. Shades I gravitate towards the most in Fall are mauve, maroon, (burnt) orange and rich chocolate. I have pulled together a bunch of my favourite fall makeup pieces as well as my beauty essentials for this Fall time.
An eyeshadow palette that I'm current obsessed with is Makeup Revolution Pro HD 35 Amplified in 'Inspiration'. This palette has 35 extremely pigmented shadows, all in a matte finish. The palette is filled with rich brown, burnt orange and deep maroon shades. Costing only £15 from the drugstore, it truly is the perfect eyeshadow palette for Fall! Another of my favourite eyeshadow palettes is the new Urban Decay Naked Heat. This palette is filled with similar shades to the Makeup Revolution 'Inspiration' palette but there are a few shimmery shades in the mix.
Switching up my lip colours according to the season is another big must for me. I do this for every season but during the Autumn I like to go a bit darker and more daring with my lip options. I like to step out my comfort zone and wear colours I don't wear as often. Now, usually I gravitate towards more glossy and creamy finishes but lately I've been enjoying a mix of finishes including mattes. A few matte lip products I'm loving for Fall are the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks ('Suck it' & 'Wine Not'). I'm also obsessed with Ofra X Nikkie Tutorials liquid lipstick in 'Dutchess'. This is a stunning mauve nude with a cool undertone. A few affordable lip colours I love for Fall are Colourpop's Ultra Matte in 'Bumble', 'Are N Be' & 'Chilly Chili'.
I also like to switch up my nail colours and wear darker more vampy shades. I love Deborah Lippmann's 'Miss Independent', 'She Wolf' and 'Wild Things'. I also love glossy black nails in the Autumn (and winter) and the shade 'Black Forest' by Barry M is my favourite.
