KIKO Milano Tropic Heat Collection

KIKO MILANO has launched their second capsule collection in collaboration with up-and-coming designers selected by Vogue Talents to celebrate 20 years of the cosmetic brand. The new collection 'Tropic Heat' is created by Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso and their Leitmotiv brand. It's a bright and colourful collection full of great makeup products for spring, transitioning into summertime. With pastel shade eyeliners, fruity scent blushers and setting sprays. There are also colourful nail polishes, a gel highlighter and dewy stick. To complete the collection, Leitmotiv have also designed a pochette (makeup bag) to store your essential Tropic Heat bits inside. This collection is a breath of fresh air and puts me into holiday mood. Some of these makeup bits will be great for holiday! Here's a quick run down on the collection:

TROPIC HEAT

Primer And Fix Water: 

This is one of my favourite pieces from the collection. The Primer and Fix is a water-based spray enriched with a fruity fragrance. It can be used before or after makeup to increase its hold. I love this because it adds hydration into my makeup and makes my face feel very refreshed. 

Gel Highlighter: 

This has a fresh and lightweight texture to it with slight shimmer pigments. This gives my cheeks a natural golden glow.

Dewy Stick: 

This is a wet-effect clear stick that is supposed to be formulated to bestow a radiant 3D-effect upon the face. Now, it's nice to give you a natural glowing complexion when used only on bare face - like a holiday "no makeup, makeup look". However, because it's a wet formula it doesn't go well with powder (see what I mean in my video below) so I recommend using a cream bronzer and blush to complete your look.     

Flavoured Lip & Cheek Stick: 

This is a dual function product for adding colour to your cheeks and lips. It has a lovely fruity scent to it and I love the formula and colour on my lips. But when it comes to blush - DO NOT apply the stick straight onto your cheeks (see my video below for more guidance) nor apply with powder makeup underneath because it will drag the product all around your face. So, I recommend tapping motions if wearing with powder bronzer.

Eye Marker: 

There are a few different shades available in this eye marker however I have the shade 01 Vitality Sky Blue and I love it. It's very vibrant and I love the quirky shape nib - it's so easy to use and create a thick or thin liner. 

Face Brush: 

This is my FAVE! I'm a makeup brush junkie so of-course this had to be!! The tropical pattern handle is so fun and appropriate for summer makeup looks. Its bristles are soft synthetic fibres which apply powders and bronzers so flawlessly.   

Nail Lacquer: 

There are a few pretty pink shades in the range all with fruity scents. The shade I have is 01 Flawless Grapefruit!

This is a really fun and vibrant collection full of lovely shades and scents. It's a breath of fresh air in the makeup world right now!
