Before I get into this makeup look I want to quickly toot my own horn and say, I'm doing good at posting a full face of makeup look on my blog weekly, whoop whoop!! For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, I'll explain. A few weeks back in this post I mentioned that I wanted to try and post more (full face) makeup looks on my blog and I was aiming for one a week, at least. So far I've kept my promise and delivered 3 (this being my third) stunning looks. See the other looks here and here. Okay, now let's get onto this makeup look because it's stunning, right?!
A few days ago I watched Little Mix 'No More Sad Songs' music video and I was blown away by their stunning makeup look. The Little Mix ladies each had their own twist on a cranberry / plum smokey eye and everyone of them looked amazing. I immediately wanted to recreate their look because I'm obsessed with cranberry shades on my own green eyes. Recently I got the new MUA Burning Embers eyeshadow palette which has 25 beautifully pigmented eyeshadows in a mix of matte and pearl finishes. Included in this palette of eyeshadows are colours like: cranberry, plum and pink, which are perfect for this Little Mix inspired makeup look. This MUA Burning Embers palette is extremely affordable as it's available at the drugstore (Superdrug) for only £8.
For this eye look I used quite a few shades in the palette to get the desired Little Mix 'No More Sad Songs' makeup look. I mixed a few of the matte and pearl shades - which I'll list below. However, I do have a video tutorial showing you how to get this complete eye look and overall makeup.
Shades used in the Burning Embers Eyeshadow Palette:
Warmth - transition
Blaze - onto my lid
Dazzle - into crease
Dazzle - into crease
Glint, Sparks & Heat - inner 1/3 (third) of eye
For my outer corner and lash line I use a matte black shade from a different palette but you can use any matte black shadow you have.
See video below for thorough guidance on this makeup look.
I hope you like this Little Mix 'No More Sad Songs' inspired makeup look. Don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel (here) to keep up-to-date with my latest beauty videos and makeup tutorials!
