Valentine's Day Beauty ♡ With John Lewis & Dyson Supersonic

This year I've teamed up with John Lewis to bring you a beautiful soft and romantic Valentine's Day hair and makeup look. Starting with my hair look, I'm going for a sleek and straight style using the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, which is available at www.johnlewis.com (my full video tutorial is linked below). This hairdryer has the coolest design ever and dries my hair in half the time of any other dryer. My hair, being very long and thick, drying it was a lengthy and boring process; taking around 30 minutes to completely dry. Now with this Dyson hairdryer it only takes me 15 minutes to completely dry. This is a huge time difference for me, plus it means less time my hair is exposed to heat. This hairdryer has 3 heat settings and 3 speed settings, along with a cold shoot button (which immediately deactivates the heating element for cooler air) to control the right amount of heat and air the dryer projects on the hair. I like to have mine on the highest heat and fastest speed for faster drying. There are a couple of attachments included with the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. All magnetic with  360° rotation to boost styling and drying process. The first attachment is a 'Smoothing nozzle' (used in the video tutorial below) which drys and styles at the same time using gentle, wide air. Next attachment is the 'Styling concentrator' which helps with more precised styling. The last attachment included is a 'Diffuser'. This stimulates natural drying, helping to reduce frizz for improved definition in every ringlet and curl of your hair. The attachment I've been using the most is the smoothing nozzle. It it has a wider airflow allowing quicker drying time. I love how sleek and straight this attachment makes my hair and I'm amazed at how well it protects the natural shine in my hair, smoothing every flyaway.

I'm extremely impressed by this little guy and I know it costs a pretty penny, but if you can then you should definitely give it a go. It will change your blow drying forever and you'll enjoy it EVERY time. Seriously though, that's much how I love this Dyson Supersonic hairdryer!!

JohnLewis.com include a 2 year guarantee with this Dyson Supersonic hairdryer and they price match their products to give the best online deals.

I've raved about the Dyson Supersonic too much, so I'll move on now to my makeup. Everything I used is from JohnLewis.com and linked below. This Valentine's Day I've decided to go a soft and subtle makeup look. I'm wearing pink shades on both my eyes and lips. I don't wear "pinky pinky" shades that often on my eyes (I tend to go for more mauve shades instead) but, Valentine's is a day to be romantic and girly so what better shade to represent that than pink. I use Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette for this and inside there's a variety of pink, gold and purple (mauve!) shades to choose from. On my lashes I use my favourite YSL Faux Cils mascara to give me lots of volume and length. For my jet black wing, I use the perfect Little Black Liner by Estee Lauder. I highlight and brighten my under eye area with a little touch of YSL Touche Eclat concealer. and for my cheek I use the beautiful Terracotta bronzer by Guerlain which is great for bronzing and contouring at the same time. As I mentioned, I'm going for a pink lip to match my eyes, so I mix Bobbi Brown 'Brownie Pink' and YSL 'Nude in Private' lipsticks to give me the perfect glossy (nude-ish) pink lip.
