In todays post I'm going to take you on a tour of my closet. I have a bit to get through so lets get started.
This winter I organised my wardrobe to ensure I would get good use out of my darker winter-y clothes and accessories before the coming spring. I am so ready for spring now, I'm looking forward to wearing lighter colours and wearing fresh glowing makeup. So let me talk you through everything I've been loving this past winter!
TOPS
I bought a few turtleneck tops from H&M a good few months ago and I've been wearing them like crazy. I love the flattering look it gives my shoulders and their overall dressiness. Now of-course I will continue to wear these tops into spring because in the UK we don't get much warm weather and some of these tops are spring like shades such as yellow, orange and blue.
JACKETS
One thing you'll probably never see me without is a leather (faux) jacket, I wear these to death. I love the way a leather jacket can dress up and dress down any outfit. It always make an outfit look well put together and I feel confident and stylish wearing it. I have a few in my wardrobe and I've been getting very good use out of them. I have my eye on a few new ones from River Island ,H&M and Boohoo which I featured in this post. So hopefully soon they'll be hanging alongside the others.
SHOES
Now onto footwear. My favourite shoes to wear are ankle boots with heels that are 7-10cm high for everyday wear. I have many boots that I wear constantly but I pulled forward a few that I hadn't gotten much wear out of. So the ones above are a pair of short wellies from New Look (similar to Mel wellingtons), Bershka lace up boots and faux fur ankle wedges by Dorothy Perkins. I recently bought more ankle boots that I'm loving so I will share with you soon!
BAGS
Bags, bags, bags, bags are my thing. I love black coloured bags because they go with everything, right?! One of my favourite and more 'out there' bags is my Steve Madden fringe bag. I love wearing this when I feel like being a bit more dressy and edgy. A bag that I've been wearing on a day to day basis is my little ridged crossbody bag (see this post) from Primark.
ADDICTION!
Now I have alittle big obsession with nail polish so I organised my collection so that I got good use out of all my darker shades. Now that we only have a few weeks until spring and we all know what that means? the brighter colours are back, so I wanted to get good use out of my darker shades. I always like to switch up my nail colour from dark to light so I'm sure these colours on my shelf will be sticking around for a while. I really rate Rimmel, Deborah Lippmann (especially this shade) and Barry M nail polishes if you're looking for really thick and long-lasting colour.
I could go on and on about the rest of the pieces in my wardrobe but let me just sum it up. Every thing that you see in my wardrobe I love and recommend highly!
