Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips

Charlotte Tilbury's new Hollywood Lips are extremely comfortable with full on colour in just one swipe!

The brand new Hollywood Lips are available in 10 very wearable shades. There are some nudes (brown + pink tones), some mauves and some deep reddish tones. The shade range looks perfect for many different skin tones because there aren't any colours that are too extravagant or too "in your face" that, in reality, aren't very wearable. So overall I'm very impressed with her shade range.

The formula of the Hollywood Lips are very lightweight with a velvety soft finish. They are enriched with Beeswax to protect your lips against drying out and have anti-ageing and collagen ingredients to give you a fuller,  more youthful looking lip. For me, the more nuder shades give the illusion of a fuller lip. The darker shades I suggest using a lip liner to outline the lips first. This will help to make the lips look more plump as darker shades can tend to draw in the lips (none of the lip swatches above have been outlined). So lining them first will give you a neater and more plump looking lip.

The applicator on the Hollywood Lips is very unique. It's a crescent shape which is a little different from the usual doe-foot. I really love its shape because it hugs the lower lip amazingly and gives full on colour in one swipe. The straight tip on the applicator is also great for neatly sharpening and perfecting the cupids bow and edges of your lips.

I've put together a live lip swatch video on my YouTube channel (subscribe here). Watch it below in Full HD!

Overall, these lipsticks are extremely comfortable on the lips and the pigmentation in one swipe is incredible. I'm loving all the shades but of-course I do a have my favourites, these are: Charlotte Darling, Platinum Blonde, Rising Star & Show Girl.
